Quito, Ecuador and Oxford, UK are both large urban cities seemingly thriving with culture, wealth, and intellect, yet, just like anywhere, hardship and poverty abound. Rising to leadership in both of these contexts requires “standing in the gap” between wealth and poverty and between diverse cultures and a multitude of worldviews.
God has undoubtedly equipped Doris and Lola for exactly what they are doing to bring people together in order to create opportunities of empowerment, healing and hope for a better future that will leave you wondering what more we all could be doing in our own backyards to see the ways of Jesus take hold in a broken world.
