Robert L. Gallagher is professor of intercultural studies emeritus at Wheaton College Graduate School in Chicago where he has taught since 1998. He has served as the chair of the Intercultural Studies department (2011-2020), president of the Midwest Mission Study Fellowship (2019-20), and the American Society of Missiology (2010-2011), an executive pastor in Australia (1979-90), and a theological educator in Oceania since 1984. In addition, he serves as the teaching and mentoring pastor at Lombard Bible Church (C&MA), Lombard, IL having been the lead pastor of the English Congregation at Wheaton Chinese Alliance Church (C&MA; 2009-16), and a pastor with the Lighthouse Christian Centre, Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia (CRC Churches International; 1973-1990).
