Local Government
Pray for a Movement of Hope in Central Asia — Day 6
About
The president has held power since the establishment of the country in the late 90’s. From the top of government to the local leadership, corruption and mismanagement is extremely pervasive, affecting all aspects of life in Aurora. Bribery is common in the business, military, medical, and educational systems. This issue makes living in Aurora difficult for many families.
Additionally, both foreigners and community outsiders are viewed with suspicion. There is significant distrust, even malice, towards believers. The security services have a negative view of organizations, fellowships, and families where people share about Jesus, and they are also skeptical of foreigners or outsiders going into villages.
Prayer Points for Today:
Pray for the president and the transformation of his heart. Pray that he would be surrounded by faithful and strong people who truly love their country and desire to lay a solid foundation for future generations.
Pray for the president’s son, as he is the future leader of the country. Pray that he would see the needs of his nation and that his heart would be softened towards the needs of his people.
Pray for a rooting out of corruption, that there would be an intentional movement towards integrity in all aspects of government.
Pray for favor with the government for local fellowships, believers, and international organizations, that there would be mutual trust instead of suspicion.
Pray for increased access to villages, that God would open doors for people to go and share the Good News to the least reached.
