Family Relationships
Pray for a Movement of Hope in Central Asia — Day 5
About
Families are the foundation of communities. If our prayer is to see local communities thriving economically, relationally, and spiritually, we must begin by praying for families.
Unfortunately, many families in Aurora experience deep brokenness: men having multiple wives, domestic abuse in homes, daughter-in-laws being treated like slaves, and other issues like alcoholism, joblessness, and severe poverty. At the same time, families do an incredible job caring for older relatives, showing respect for parents, and displaying generous hospitality. It is important to see both – to celebrate the beauty of this culture and pray for the brokenness.
Prayer Points for Today:
Men – for their hearts to be softened towards their wives and for the healing of marriages.
Cycles of abuse - pray for relationships between husbands and wives, mother-in-laws and daughter-in-laws, and parents and children where abuse (physical, emotional, and verbal), is common. Pray for restoration, forgiveness, healing, and respect.
Children – to be raised with attention and care. That they would grow up to know the love of the Father and be able to break the chains of generational sin and trauma.
Addiction – for freedom for those experiencing addiction and trauma healing for their families.
For whole families to come to faith together!
