Family and Men’s Tea House
Pray for the Middle East — Day 1
Family and Men’s Tea House
Family Tea House and Men’s Tea House are weekly and biweekly community programs for the people groups we work with. At Family Tea House, refugees are welcomed weekly into a safe space with games, crafts, friendly conversation, and a meal. At Men’s Tea House men gather together to study the word of God biweekly and share a meal. Spiritual discussions are integrated into Tea House activities as we seek to make Jesus known to everyone we serve.
Prayer Points for Today:
For the Ministry
That Tea House would remain a welcoming place of peace and community.
That Tea House would be a launching point for conversations about the good news and deeper relationships with refugees.
For the Team
That there would be an end to the increasing difficulty of obtaining residency in our country, which has led to less teammates being able to serve at Tea House.
That God would provide additional regular volunteers.
That we would collaborate with, serve, and disciple well cultural insiders working alongside us at Tea House.
For those Served
That we would continue to build favor among those who come to Tea House.
That we would have creativity in reaching teens and young adults in the community who do not frequent Tea House.
That ownership by our refugee friends would increase: that attendees would pursue a culture of respect and care for the program, space, and each other and that they would be empowered to contribute to different aspects of the program, like leading crafts, helping with kids activities, and helping to facilitate good discussions.
