Moms and Tots
Pray for the Middle East — Day 3
Moms and Tots
Every week, we run three Moms and Tots programs for different groups of refugee and migrant women and their children (Afghan, Syrian, and African). Each program has its own unique approach, content, and cultural feel. Most weeks, everyone hears a Bible story and shares a meal. The women discuss the story together with volunteers, and the kids enjoy songs, a puppet show, and a craft related to the Bible story. Women have the opportunity to consult with a nurse and milk is distributed at the end of each program. Pregnant women can also receive prenatal vitamins and can qualify for a baby layette full of newborn supplies.
Prayer Points for Today:
For the Ministry
That God would raise up new financial partners to support increasing costs due to inflation and program growth.
That God would provide new members for the Refugee and Migrant Ministry team at the local church that oversees Moms and Tots.
That Bible stories shared at Moms and Tots would touch and meaningfully confront hearts with the truth of Jesus.
For the Team
That God would grant wisdom and direction in planning this program year and future ones.
That God would work through us, helping us to overcome cultural differences and engage well with the women and children we serve.
That God would send more workers and volunteers to help enable us to expand and serve well.
For those Served
That God would cause growth where seeds have been planted and watered.
That the women and children would come to see God as their loving, good, and trustworthy provider, and that they would yield their lives to him.
That refugees would see the love that those serving at Moms and Tots have for them and that it would stir their hearts: “Why do they love and care for me?” “Who is this God they serve?”
