Afghan Fellowship
Pray for the Middle East — Day 5
Afghan Fellowship
The Afghan Fellowship was planted in 2019 after a Bible study became a consistent place of worship for a group of Afghan brothers and sisters. The fellowship meets every Sunday, providing a safe space for believing and seeking refugees to worship, pray, and grow into a Christian community with one another.
Prayer Points for Today:
For the Ministry
That leaders within the fellowship would continue in discipleship and have avenues to grow in teaching and leading.
That there would be growth in numbers and confidence among Afghan believers.
That local Afghan believers would disciple others in their people group.
For the Team
That we would have wisdom and discernment in leading and discipling in this current season, but also in casting vision for the fellowship for the future.
That more Dari, Uzbek, and Farsi speakers would come alongside and help with translation.
For those Served
That members would be protected from police hostility, racism amongst the locals and those who want to harm our members and the fellowship.
That there would be unity among the members of the fellowship. Many are new in their faith and learning what it means to follow Jesus. Our members come from different backgrounds and tribes, which can sometimes be a barrier to connecting with one another.
That members who have moved on to Europe or back to Afghanistan would be protected and have the opportunity to continue pursuing their faith.
Pray for humility and love as we grow together in the fellowship.
