Unreached People Groups Outreach
Pray for the Middle East — Day 6
Unreached People Groups Outreach
There are over 3.2 billion people living in the 10/40 window, the region of the world where 96.6% of the world’s unreached peoples reside. As of 2021, out of 430,000 international workers, only 3.4% of international workers, serve those in the 10/40 window, indicating that there are currently about 14,620 international workers trying to reach 3,200,000,000 people. On average, this would mean that there is one 10/40 Window international worker for every 218,878 people.
Currently, we reach a wide demographic of these unreached peoples, primarily Syrians, Afghans, and a variety of African migrants, but the city is also home to Uyghurs, Uzbeks, Tajiks, Iraqis, Iranians, and many more foreigners. Through home visits, we get to know many of these families’ stories and speak the truth of the Gospel into their lives. Home visits enable us to privately meet people where they are, celebrate our friendships with them, share meals, and talk about Jesus. It is our hope that our ministry would expand so that we are capable of reaching as many people groups as possible.
Prayer Points for Today:
For the Ministry
That God would bless efforts to produce materials in the heart language of and that these resources would be made available in the home countries and diaspora of unreached groups.
That God would raise up more translators and people who have learned languages of the unreached.
That more international workers would come to the 10/40 Window.
That the hearts and minds of the unreached would be open to receive.
That there would be open borders and ease in visa applications so that international workers may engage more unreached peoples.
That movement would be catalyzed among unreached people groups.
For the Team
That we would be bold in witnessing but grow in encouraging those to whom we minister to be ministers themselves.
That we would have discernment in relationship building as we seek to make inroads in the community and seek growing favor among unreached people groups.
That we would disciple our interns and cultural insiders well so that they may catalyze movement in their own communities.
For those Served
That women among the unreached would be empowered and excited to engage with stories from the Bible even if they have never been to school.
That the truth would be revealed, faith would be given, and true repentance would be present. That Jesus would not just be folded into pre-existing belief systems.
That hearts and ears would be opened to understand, receive, obey, and share God’s word and his good news. Those believers would become leaders and disciple-makers in the community.
