Arabic Language Learning
Pray for Friends in the Far Middle East — Day 1
Arabic Language Learning
The difficulty of the Arabic language creates a significant barrier to the gospel, as it is classified as a "Super-hard language" by the Foreign Service Institute of the US State Department. This means that it takes years of language study for the average American to reach the level of proficiency in Arabic that they are able to share deep spiritual truths and study the Bible with Arab friends.
Prayer Points for Today:
Pray for access to effective Arabic tutors, conversation partners, and language institutes to help us make significant progress in our Arabic acquisition.
As the Holy Spirit gave the disciples the miraculous ability to speak many languages on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2), pray that we would be empowered by the Spirit to communicate the gospel in the Arabic language beyond our natural ability.
