More Workers Among the People

Pray for Refugees in Thailand — Day 4

About

Once burdened by hunger and the struggle to survive, some refugees have emerged with renewed hope and a desire to see their communities transformed. Four of these individuals—once counted among the lost—have encountered the life-changing power of Jesus and have chosen to serve Him. As Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest” (Matthew 9:37–38). We pray that their lives will continue to be transformed, and that through them, breakthroughs will come in their communities so many more may hear the gospel and find their way to Jesus. *Names have been changed to protect their identities.

Prayer Points for Today:

  • Pray for the spiritual growth and protection of the four new local workers as they serve Jesus and minister in their communities.

  • Pray for unity and mutual support among local workers, that they would serve together in harmony and encouragement.

  • Pray for breakthroughs in their communities—that hearts would be open to hearing and receiving the gospel.

  • Pray for more laborers to be raised up, in line with Jesus’ words in Matthew 9:37-38, to join in the work of the harvest.

  • Cella: Pray for her recovery from her recent motorcycle accident.

  • Bob: is still practicing another faith, but works alongside the others because he sees the goodness and the transformation resulting from the work. Pray that he will discover Jesus for himself.

  • Ava: Is skilled in translation between Thai, English, and Burmese. She desires to be free to pursue an education in Media and Communications. Pray for her to be able to attain her citizenship and gain identity to be able to grow in her skillset to serve the Kingdom.

  • Eli: Maintains the PeaceEd facility and grounds, and he participates alongside the other PeaceEd workers in the Bible studies and PeaceEd activities intermittently. Pray for his courage to go deeper spiritually and his growth as part of the team.
