Vietnam - Training Center with neurodiverse young adults

OVERVIEW

OUR COMMUNITY

Vietnam, with over 100 million people and a rich cultural blend of Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism, and ancestor worship, is experiencing rapid economic growth after years of war. Despite this growth, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities remain marginalized with limited educational and job opportunities. The Christian community, though small, is enjoying religious freedom and is in a unique position to address the needs of these individuals by providing friendship and a sense of belonging

OUR WORK

In a major metropolitan city, efforts are focused on creating inclusive workplaces and communities for neurodiverse individuals. This includes a retail business and vocational training center for young adults with Autism, Down syndrome, and other cognitive differences. The program offers job skills training, job placement assistance, and social opportunities to promote dignity, independence, and community engagement. Peer mentors support these individuals in their spiritual and social development.
